1776 at Ambler Yards Partners With The The Montgomery County LGBT Business Council

1776 at Ambler Yards and the Montgomery County LGBT Business Council are joining forces to promote business incubation among the LGBT Community of Montgomery County and its allies. Besides mutual benefits for members of 1776 and the LGBT Business Council, both organizations came together to formulate the Ambler Yards Anti-Discriminatory Policy.

Found on the Ambler Yards website, the new policy states as follows:

“Ambler Yards values workplace diversity and is committed to guaranteeing and promoting equal opportunity in the workplace and in our relationships with vendors, customers, contractors, and the public at large.  In our efforts to provide an environment free of discrimination and harassment where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, Ambler Yards follows a policy of not discriminating against anyone based on: age, marital status, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, color, ethnicity or religious background, descent or nationality, disability, HIV/AIDS status, military status, physical stature, pregnancy, childbirth or medical condition related to pregnancy or childbirth or any other factor deemed unlawful by respective federal, state, or local laws.”

“We are so pleased to have the Montgomery County LGBT Business Council in the fold here at 1776 at Ambler Yards. We are all inclusive here, not only in our coworking space but in the whole Ambler Yards campus – all we’ve done is make it public. We are proud to let the County and everyone else know that all are welcome!” said Ben Bergman, Ambler Yards Campus Manager.

Members of the Montgomery County LGBT Business Council can receive a discounted membership at 1776 at Ambler Yards. More than just coworking, 1776 at Ambler Yards is a community for mobile professionals, entrepreneurs, and startups. Members gain access to a dynamic network and focused programming to provide the knowledge and resources necessary to spur innovation, grow businesses and revitalize industries.

Richard Buttacavoli, Co-Founder and President of the Council, shared that “The Montgomery County LGBT Business Council is thrilled to partner with 1776 at Ambler Yards. Diversity and inclusion are essential to organizations that are innovative, grow, and succeed in the 21st century. Companies that attract such a diverse workforce lead their industries by developing intersectionality in their workforce, culture and customer base.” Buttacavoli added, “The next generation of talent recruiters and marketers have embraced inclusive core principles that attract great employees as well as sophisticated, loyal customers. 1776 at Ambler Yards champions these values, a reflection of our mission — this is why partnership was such an easy decision.”
